Put your old electronics back to work
Two ways to get working electronics back into use. Either path keeps equipment out of the shredder and into the hands of someone who can use it.
How to donate
Contact your city's recycling or waste management facility
Ask about e-waste options. Many municipalities in Greater Cleveland run e-recycling events or accept small electronics year-round. Some of those items are candidates for reuse rather than shredding, and we're working with cities across the region to capture more of that working equipment before it's destroyed. If you're not sure whether what you have still works, reach out to us first. We can tell you quickly, and we'd rather assess it than see it shredded.
Schedule a direct pickup with us
We pick up donations across Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and surrounding counties. Fill out the form below and we'll reach out to arrange a time. This is the most direct path if you have equipment you're confident still works, or a larger batch to clear out.
What we accept
- Laptops, desktops, all-in-ones
- Monitors (flat panel only)
- Tablets and phones
- iPods and small handheld devices
- Peripherals: keyboards, mice, cables, power adapters, docks
Working or not working. We'll sort it out.
What we can't take
- CRT monitors and televisions
- Printers, fax machines, copiers
- Appliances (microwaves, coffee makers, etc.)
- Anything containing refrigerant or fuel
- Items with significant physical damage
About your data
Every storage device we receive is wiped to NIST 800-88 standards before the machine is placed with anyone. If you'd like to start the process yourself, we have plain-language instructions for signing out of your accounts and resetting common devices. Either way, full sanitization happens on our end as well.
Outside our service area?
If you're beyond Greater Cleveland, the Goodwill Industries tech store near Cleveland accepts working electronics directly. For items that aren't working, your city likely runs periodic e-recycling events.
